One area the Steelers can get Martavis Bryant more involved is the red zone. They have a package of plays ready to go for him if the timing's right. Bryant is fifth on the team in red-zone targets.

A sign the Steelers are loose for Bengals week -- several players spent the better part of 45 minutes debating the merits of Drake in the locker room after Friday's practice.

Week 7 NFL score predictions: Bengals at Steelers

Ben Roethlisberger's previous appearance at home was his dreadful outing against the Jaguars. He'll surely be motivated to show the Heinz Field faithful that was the exception and not the rule.

FPI: Steelers favored heavily over Bengals

Cincy returns from its bye on a two-game win streak, but ESPN's FPI gives Pittsburgh better than a 3-1 edge at home. Ben Roethlisberger could become the fourth QB ever with at least 20 wins against multiple teams (21 vs. Browns, 19 vs. Bengals).

Steelers injury report. Looking like Tyler 'Dirty Red' Matakevich will start at ILB if Vince Williams doesn't practice Friday.

Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster makes an over-the-shoulder catch in the back of the end zone during Thursday's practice.

Aside from $48,620 fine for late hit on Alex Smith (reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter) Steelers safety Mike Mitchell got an additional fine for pulling Smith's facemark -- same play, different amount. At least $9,115 but possibly $18,231 as repeat offender. Mitchell got a facemark penalty late last season.
