Cowboys DL Irving suspended first 4 games

Cowboys defensive lineman David Irving has been suspended for the first four games of the upcoming season for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.

For the second straight season, David Irving will miss the first four games because of a suspension. The NFL announced a four-game suspension for violating the substance abuse policy. He missed four games in 2017 for violating the performance-enhancing drug policy. He will be able to take part in training camp and preseason games. Once the regular season starts, he will be able to continue to work out at The Star but not take part in meetings and practice.
