Bengals RB/special teams player Cedric Peerman received a one-year deal worth $1.15 million, $900,000 base salary, $100,000 signing bonus, $100,000 roster bonus ($6,250 per game), $50,000 workout bonus, up to $300,000 in not likely to be earned incentives based on rushing and receiving yards. He counts $1,087,500 against the cap this year.

The Bengals have released linebacker Rey Maualuga, the team announced. Maualuga has been a long time starter in the middle for Cincinnati, however, the writing was on the wall due to Maualuga's decreased use last year in certain games, his salary cap number and the addition of Kevin Minter.

The Bengals are re-signing defensive lineman Wallace Gilberry, his agents announced today. Gilberry rejoined the team late in the season.

Bengals could carry three QBs again in 2017

The Bengals, who are content with their depth at quarterback, say it would take an impressive trade offer to pry away backup AJ McCarron.

The Bengals are re-signing RB Cedric Peerman, a source confirmed. Peerman is an important piece on their special teams units. He made the 2015 Pro Bowl for his special teams play but spent half of 2016 on injured reserve. Zac Jackson (@akronjackson) first reported the news.

Adam Jones could still face discipline from the league. According to NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy: "Our review continues under the personal conduct policy, which states that a player may still be subject to potential discipline even if the conduct does not result in a criminal conviction."

Felony charges of harassment with a bodily substance against Bengals CB Adam Jones have been dropped, according to Cincinnati prosecutor Joe Deters. Jones still has pending misdemeanor charges of assault, disorderly conduct and obstructing official business pending. He will plead not guilty according to his attorney.

Contract details for Bengals LB Kevin Minter: One year, $4.25 million. He will make a base salary of $800K with a $2.1 million signing bonus. He has a $1.1 million workout bonus and a per-game roster bonus worth up to $250K.

Bengals make it official, announce that Kevin Minter has been signed to a one-year deal. According to the Bengals website, Minter met Marvin Lewis in Arizona and was convinced go sign. He could play middle or weakside linebacker.
