Falcons had four guys in for tryout today: LB Kennan Gilchrist, LB Kenneth Olugbode, LB Kache Palacio, and RB Josh Rounds. Always looking for linebacker depth, special teams help, practice squad development. OLB Vic Beasley still nursing a hamstring strain, too. Falcons have one banged up RB in Terron Ward (neck, shoulder). Rookie Brian Hill was active as third RB vs. Lions in place of Ward but didn't play.

Falcons coach Dan Quinn was asked if he was a big fan of the 10-second runoff rule, you know, the one that led to the Falcons beating the Lions on Sunday: "YESSS. That's the easiest question I've had all day."

Dan Quinn said he will send the hit Deion Jones was flagged for vs. Lions into the league to get clarity on if indeed was an illegal hit. Quinn thought Jones struck the offensive player like he's supposed to.

Falcons not feeling Super Bowl hangover

With Sunday's 30-26 win over the Detroit Lions, the Atlanta Falcons are 3-0, joining a short list of teams in the last 25 seasons to start strong after losing the Super Bowl the previous season. However, history doesn't bode well for the Falcons' revenge tour.

Falcons DE Adrian Clayborn on President Trump: `` A lot of stuff needs to change, man. (Trump) has his support, and he has his people behind him that's continuing this crazy rhetoric that he's spilling. I want to be optimistic, but it's crazy times. I didn't (kneel), but I support my brothers 100 percent. Anytime somebody has a question for me about how I feel about it, I'm going to answer it. And the way I feel about it right now is stuff ain't right and he's just spilling all this hatred that's not doing anything positive for what's going on in this world.''

Julio Jones downplayed coming out late in Sunday's win over the Lions with what appeared to be a lower back injury. ``I came out (because) we didn't get the first down,'' said Jones, who took a hit on the third-down incompletion. ``That's why I came out. I'm good. If we would have gotten the first down, I would have been in there. Yeah, I'm good.''
