Seattle has big decisions to make on the Legion of Boom. The Saints need to lock up Drew Brees. The Vikings need to sign a quarterback. Here are five offseason moves to improve all 16 NFC teams.

Falcons officially hire former Miami Dolphins/New York Jets running back Bernie Parmalee as running backs coach to replace Keith Carter, now the Titans offensive line coach. Team also hired Mayur Chaudhari as special teams assistant to replace Eric Sutulovich, who was let go. And Falcons brought back former defensive assistant Chad Walker as an offensive assistant to replace Charlie Weis Jr., now the offensive coordinator at Florida Atlantic. The team previously hired veteran coach Greg Knapp as quarterbacks coach to replace Bush Hamdan, now the offensive coordinator at the University of Washington.

Asked Falcons owner Arthur Blank if he's prepared to make QB Matt Ryan the highest paid player in the league: ``We're prepared to do what's right for Matt and do what's right for our franchise. We'll certainly keep Matt in a competitive range. He's certainly entitled to that. He's certainly one of the great quarterbacks in the NFL. ... On the other hand, we have a whole team to take care of.'' Ryan entering the final year of his contract, and the Falcons said his extension is top priority this offseason.

Falcons owner Arthur Blank to me on being upset with Patriots owner Robert Kraft about the jab with the 283 diamonds in the championship rings, as reported by the New York Times: ``That was a year old. I don't even know where that came from. Robert's my closes friend as an owner. We compete. We work very closely together. I love Robert; he's love me. We're great partners. I didn't like that particularly, but I talked to him about it a year ago. It's like old history right now. I'm not sure why it was brought up now.'' The Falcons blew a 28-3 lead in last year's Super Bowl loss to the Patriots.

So, Falcons DE Takk McKinley confirms via social media that he had shoulder surgery. It was his left shoulder this time, not from the same injury that caused him to have his right shoulder operated on prior to the draft. McKinley expected to ``be back strong'' according to source, although no immediate timetable for recovery.

Blank irked by Patriots' 283-diamond SB rings

Falcons owner Arthur Blank was ticked off that the Patriots took a jab at Atlanta's collapse in Super Bowl LI by using 283 diamonds in their commemorative rings, and he told Pats owner Robert Kraft.

Falcons say Takk McKinley having a ``minor'' procedure without revealing any specifics about the surgery. Only known issues he dealt with had to do with his shoulder, but can't just assume that's the issue. Coach Dan Quinn said some players needed post-season surgeries but said those procedures wouldn't sideline anyone for a long period of time.
