In talking about Aaron Rodgers' late season return from a broken right collarbone and if it is worth the risk, Matt Ryan reflected on his own return from a turf toe injury years ago to finish the season. "I think you have to trust your doctors."

Falcons' injury report: Adrian Clayborn, the team's sack leader, didn't practice due to a hamstring injury. Mohamed Sanu, the team leader in TD receptions, limited by knee injury. Both starting guards banged up, with Levitre unlikely to play.

Falcons Vic Beasley Jr., the reigning NFL sack champ, talks about drawing added attention this year and how he's handled it.

Dan Quinn on if starting left guard Andy Levitre will need surgery for his triceps injury: ``Not that we're aware of at this time.'' Levitre still not practicing. Ben Garland will continue to fill in at left guard.

Dan Quinn said Vic Beasley Jr. has had less rushing opportunities to get sacks because he's asked Beasley to do a lot more with dropping into coverage. Quinn expects to feature Beasley more as a rusher moving forward the rest of the season with Duke Riley back from injury at inside linebacker, meaning De'Vondre Campbell would see those SAM reps that Beasley's been getting.

NFL Africa Zone: 'Mo Sanu, Mo Tuddies' Edition

Week 14 is the first Alvin Kamara-less round (aside from the New Orleans Saints bye week) of the NFL season, and a few players stepped into the breach.

Seahawks now 8-5 after loss at Jacksonville. Falcons also 8-5 and won the head-to-head matchup with Seahawks. Still three games to go but Falcons, at No. 6, right in the playoff race again behind Carolina, who jumped up to the No. 5 spot with win over Vikings. NFC South title not out of reach for Falcons, either, with three division games remaining.

Vaughn McClure ESPN Staff Writer

Carolina, one spot ahead of Atlanta for the final playoff spot coming into Sunday, improves to 9-4 after win over Minnesota. Falcons are 8-5 and are 0-1 vs. Panthers this season. But Falcons, 2-1 in NFC South, can make up ground with three consecutive division games to end season, including another game vs. Saints and the Panthers in season finale. Falcons, by winning last three games, could sweep Saints and go 1-1 against Panthers and finish at 11-5 with a better division record than anyone at 5-1 -- meaning division title. Not impossible but things have to go Falcons' way.
