Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer will get a second opinion on his broken left arm, coach Bruce Arians said Monday, that should help clarify how quickly Palmer can return and "still be protected with it." Once Arizona gets the results of the second opinion will help Arizona decide whether to put Palmer on injured reserve. If Palmer goes on IR, the Cardinals will save a roster spot for him, Arians said. But, regardless of what the second opinion concludes, Palmer will still need surgery, Arians said.

The Redskins only ran their running backs 13 times for 34 yards in the opener vs. the Eagles. But they do believe they can run on them based on previous games. But in the opener 10 of their runs came on first down. They'll need to be less predictable about when they run.
