Jets LT Kelvin Beachum spent his off day serving meals to seniors at the Food Bank for New York City. He also organized food donations in conjunction with World Food Day. "I've have had times in my life where suffered from food insecurity," Beachum said. "I feel strongly that no one should ever have to choose between paying their electric bill or putting food on the table. I know firsthand that community support goes a long way and is greatly appreciated. God has provided me an NFL platform to hopefully inspire others to join me in the fight to end hunger."

Asked about his favorite moment with Paul Allen, Pete Carroll said it was celebrating with the late Seahawks owner after the team won Super Bowl XLVIII. He recalled how the musically-inclined Allen played guitar on stage during the team's victory party. "He was hittin' in," Carroll said. "He thought he was Eddie Vedder or something up there. He was going. But I think that was the great moment that we got to share, that he got to have. Because you can have all the money in the world, but it's really hard to have that world championship. It meant everything to him. To be able to share that with him was amazing."
