Kareem Hunt's block on NaVorro Bowman gave Alex Smith the time to get the ball to Tyreek Hill on the TD. Hunt showed his willingness to pass protect during the preseason, when he took out two pass rushers with a single block in a game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

I can offer no explanation for that illegal contact call on Chiefs DB Eric Murray. Contact was within five yards of the line of scrimmage, which is legal. Just a bad call by Craig Wrolstad's crew.

Raiders WR Amari Cooper is already up to 95 yards and two touchdowns on just three receptions. Cooper hauled in the deep ball down the sideline and beat the Chiefs secondary on the crossing route for another score. That gives Cooper 24.5 fantasy points (PPR scoring) at the end of the first quarter.

The Derek Carr to Amari Cooper TD pass of 38 yards was longer than any Oakland pass play, TD or not, in the Raiders' five-game losing streak against the Chiefs. Carr's longest pass during the five games was 33.yards.

A Raiders source this week when I asked what's wrong with Amari Cooper: "Kind of a confidence/mental thing, but coming around."

Travis Kelce is the only one of the Chiefs' three TEs who didn't play basketball in college. But he can go up and get a ball, as he showed on his TD there.

The Raiders scored a TD on their first drive against the Chiefs last season when the teams met in Oakland. They managed only a field goal the rest of the game. But the Chiefs were a better defensive team last year.

Bucs quarterback Jameis Winston has always loved motivational quotes, but he's not using any to help him deal with his shoulder injury. He said, "No quote can fix anything right now. Treatment can."

Color rush for the Chiefs tonight. That means we have to look at this color combo for 3 hours.

Raiders inactives: LB Cory James, LB Marquel Lee, DE Jihad Ward, OT Jylan Ware, QB Connor Cook, CB Gareon Conley, RT Marshall Newhouse. James and Lee being out should mean a lot of snaps for the recently-signed NaVorro Bowman.

Adam Teicher ESPN Staff Writer

Albert Wilson will indeed play for the Chiefs tonight after missing last week's game because of a knee injury. He should help the passing game, particularly with Chris Conley out for the season.

Asked about the potential for a takeover by Cowboys fans on Sunday when the Niners host "Dwight Clark Day," 49ers CEO Jed York said he hopes that isn't the case. "I think every team has tickets on the secondary market," York said. "I'd love for our fans to be the ones that are buying those as opposed to the opposing team. I would just encourage (fans to) don't do it for me, do it for Dwight. Dwight deserves to see a lot of red and gold on Sunday. I think he'll see that. I think he's going to see a lot of passion from the 49ers faithful."

Mark Schwarz ESPN Reporter

Raiders WR Amari Cooper told me he needs to "look the ball all the way through" rather than run before he makes the catch. The two time pro bowl WR has yet to catch a pass more than 15 yards down the field after hauling in 22 such passes last season. Cooper tells me he has not lost confidence and expects to have a big game tonight in the Raiders' TNF showdown with the rival Chiefs. Cooper is on pace for only 389 receiving yards this season after putting up more than 1000 in each of his first two seasons.
