Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner concluded an interview on 710 ESPN Seattle this morning with a message of appreciation to teammate Earl Thomas, who has been absent from the team's offseason program as he seeks a new contract. Said Wagner: "Before we get off, I would like to take this time to shout out to Earl Thomas. I think he's an amazing player, I think he's an amazing person, he's a hall of famer, and just let him know that we're over here wishing for the best in that situation and we're thinking about him, and I just want him to know that from this end."

The Cowboys signed third-round pick Michael Gallup to a four-year deal, which means their entire draft class is now under contract. Gallup caught 100 passes for 1,413 yards in 2017 at Colorado State and will compete in a re-made receiver room with Terrance Williams, Cole Beasley, Allen Hurns, Deonte Thompson and others. The Cowboys signed eight of the nine picks during the rookie minicamp two weeks ago. Last year, the Cowboys did not sign third rounder Jourdan Lewis until June 29 to finish their rookie signings.

Ravens begin the first of 10 voluntary organized training activities today. This represents Phase Three of the offseason workouts, which spans four weeks No live contact is permitted, but 7-on-7, 9-on-7 and 11-on-11 drills are permissible. Here are the 10 OTA practice days: May 21-22, May 24, May 29, May 31, June 1, June 4-5 and June to 7-8. There is one day of media availability each week (it's every Thursday).

Pittsburgh Steelers minority owner David Tepper, in his commencement speech at Carnegie Mellon University on Sunday, said this has been a "helluva week.'' First, he was proud to be giving the commencement speech and receive an honorary doctor degree. Next, he said: "A kid who couldn't afford to go to an NFL game until well into his 20s is on the verge of getting the NFL's approval to buy the Carolina Panthers. Not too shabby.'' That approval is expected on Tuesday at the owners meeting in Atlanta.

Hedge fund billionaire David Tepper, expected to be approved at the NFL meetings in Atlanta on Tuesday as the new owner of the Carolina Panthers, on Sunday was awarded the honorary Doctor of Business Practice degree at Carnegie Mellon University. Tepper, who received an MBA from Carnegie in 1982, had a winning bid of $2.275 billion. His latest donation to Carnegie is a new campus hub for the business school named after him

Bucs scouting assistant Brian McLaughlin has officially been promoted to the role of NFS (National Football Scouting) scout. He started with the Bucs in 2014 as a team operations assistant. NFS scouts (15 teams are affiliated), are responsible for early player rankings that help lay the ground work for organizational scouting reports.

The Saints re-signed veteran offensive lineman Josh LeRibeus, who appeared in all 18 games for them last year as a backup guard and center. He'll face stiffer competition to make the roster this year, since the Saints signed veteran backup Jermon Bushrod, drafted two offensive linemen in Round 3 and like the potential of some other young backups. But the Saints obviously like the experience the 28-year-old brings to the table after he spent his first four seasons with the Redskins.

The Patriots re-signed first-year guard Jason King (Purdue) on Friday. To make room for King, who has had multiple stints with the club, the Patriots waived undrafted rookie receiver Chris Lacy (Oklahoma State). The team has a full 90-man roster.

The Seahawks have announced a move in their personnel department, promoting Nolan Teasley to director of pro personnel. He was previously the team's assistant director of pro personnel under Dan Morgan, who left recently for a job with the Bills.

The Raiders have signed first-round draft pick Kolton Miller, who has been working primarily at left tackle in offseason workouts. As such, Oakland has now inked six of its nine draft picks. The unsigned; third-round right tackle Brandon Parker, third-round defensive end Arden Key and fourth-round cornerback Nick Nelson. The Raiders begin OTAs next week.

The Jets have signed third-round pick Nathan Shepherd, a defensive lineman from Fort Hays State. It's a four-year contract for the slotted amount of $3.4 million. His days of working 12-hour shifts in a factory are over.

Young Steelers playmakers T.J. Watt and JuJu Smith-Schuster were not included in Pro Football Focus' list of the top-25 players under-25. This isn't a major upset since the list is loaded with future or current stars, but Smith-Schuster's playmaking was recently highlighted by PFF, which cited Pittsburgh's 134.0 passer rating when targeting him last season.

Former Jets QB Chad Pennington, appearing this morning on "Get Up!" with Mike Greenberg, offered big praise for Sam Darnold: "I think he has an amazing future ahead of him. I think he's in a perfect situation, going to New York with Josh McCown, Teddy Bridgewater. He gets a chance to be patient ... This needs to be a long-term process for Sam and the Jets, but I think they set themselves up nicely with a quarterback who can lead them in the future for a long time to come, there's no doubt about it."

As expected, Robby Anderson's felony charge for resisting arrest with violence was dropped today in Miami, per court records. The closeout memo from the State Attorney's office said none of the police officers at the scene corroborated a claim by another officer who claimed he was pushed by Anderson at a music festival in Miami, per the Miami Herald. The incident started when Anderson, who had a backstage pass, wasn't allowed backstage, the memo said.
