This is the first time in Colts TE Dwayne Allen's five-year career that he's had multiple touchdowns in a game, according to ESPN Stats & Information

Alden Gonzalez ESPN Staff Writer

Some numbers Jeff Fisher alluded to on Monday ... Over the last four weeks, Rams are converting 21.2 percent of third downs (last in the NFL), have 27:58 time of possession (30th) and are averaging 83 rushing yards per game (27th). Their defense is allowing an average of 144.8 rushing yards, second highest in the NFL. "Those things (the rushing yards) have to flip as we move forward. We want to see those things just completely reverse themselves."

The Jets cut the Colts' lead to 14-3, but even that was tarnished. They had a first down at the Colts' 13, but went backward in the red zone. RT Breno Giacomini was flagged for unnecessary roughness. That makes three personal fouls. Total lack of discipline.

Matt Bowen ESPN Staff Writer

The Jets played with poor defensive eye discipline and lacked communication in the secondary during the first quarter. That created two easy TD passes from Andrew Luck to Dwayne Allen. A TE delay/throwback and a 7 (corner) route. Colts lead 14-0 at the start of the second quarter.

The Jets aren't getting beat physically, they're getting beat mentally. That falls on Todd Bowles. Missed blocked, busted coverages, you name it.

Teams falling behind by 14 points in the first quarter are 2-16 this season. Generally not advisable.
