ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) -- Bills rookie running back Marshawn Lynch played for the first time in four weeks in Buffalo's game against winless Miami on Sunday.
Lynch missed the previous three games after seriously spraining his left ankle against the Dolphins on Nov. 11. The Bills' top offensive threat, Lynch leads the team with six touchdowns rushing and, with another passing, has had a hand in seven of 13 TDs the offense has produced this season. He has 751 yards rushing, which still ranks 15th in the NFL.
Bills starting defensive end Chris Kelsay missed his second straight game with a foot injury.
Miami, meanwhile, was without its top running back, Jesse Chatman. Chatman is nursing an ankle injury sustained in Miami's loss to the Jets last week. He rushed for a season-high 124 yards against the Bills in the first meeting between the teams.
Receiver Marty Booker also was inactive because of a knee injury. Booker is the Dolphins' second-leading receiver with 38 catches for 430 yards and a touchdown.
The losses depleted an already sputtering Miami offense that hasn't scored a touchdown the last three games.
Brady intercepted twice as Dolphins beat Pats 27-20 Tom Brady was intercepted twice by Xavien Howard and held without a third-down conversion Monday night, and the Miami Dolphins snapped the New England Patriots' eight-game winning streak with a surprising 27-20 victory.
Bills backup QB Peterman placed in protocol Bills quarterback Nathan Peterman was placed in concussion protocol after being hit in Sunday's game against the Colts. The Bills turned to Joe Webb to finish the game, as Tyrod Taylor was inactive with a knee injury.
McCoy scores to seal Bills' 13-7 OT win over Colts LeSean McCoy scored on a 21-yard run with 1:33 left in overtime to secure the Buffalo Bills' 13-7 win over the Indianapolis Colts in a wintry, white-out setting best suited for snow shoes and sled dogs.
Although Miami Dolphins haven't shown much improvement, the Buffalo Bills have kept themselves alive for a possible postseason berth. The Dolphins are struggling to get their first victory of the season and not become an infamous part of history. The Bills continue to be resilient with hard-nosed defense, solid special teams and an efficient offensive approach.
Both clubs are short-handed in the running game and have had to be creative moving the ball on the ground. This should be an intriguing matchup between two AFC East clubs. The game means a great deal to each team for different reasons.
