ESPN 300 defensive tackle Aubrey Solomon has scheduled an official visit to Michigan for its game against Maryland on November 5. Solomon, the No. 62 ranked prospect, was committed to the Wolverines at one point, but decommitted to explore all his options. Georgia and Clemson are two other schools also in the mix for Solomon, but Michigan has been regaining ground as of late.

You don't see that every day

When the rest of the Pitt offensive line blocked left, tackle Ryan O'Neil snuck out to the right and took the end-around handoff into the end zone for the score. It was the second touchdown of the season for the 6-foot-6, 300-pound lineman.

USC had 451 yards of offense in the first half against Cal. That's the most yards a Pac-12 team has registered in a half this season. The last time a Pac-12 team went for more: Cal vs Arizona State last year (458).

Make that 4 for No. 14. Sam Darnold punctuates a monster first half with his 4th TD pass vs. Cal on ESPN:

Darnold throws fourth TD pass of half

Sam Darnold hits Darreus Rogers from 20 yards out for Rogers' second touchdown catch of the night. The Trojans have a 28-10 lead over Cal at halftime.

When USC's Ronald Jones has 8 carries for 149 yards (18.6 per carry), Cal's hope lies in forcing turnovers.

USC 21, Cal 0 with 12:07 left in the 2nd quarter. Sam Darnold is 8/12 for 87 yards and 3 TDs. Ronald Jones II has 107 yards on 7 carries.

The quarterback switch is just part of the way Clay Helton is restoring USC's offense. Sam Darnold's mobility gives Helton flexibility and what he calls against what defenses. Cal can't stop the run, which is nothing new, but Helton is exploiting it with Ronald Jones II. It's all Trojans so far and USC is looking more like a team that will challenge Washington on Nov. 12.

Thursday Night Football may be a necessity for television but it is a nightmare for a school like USC in downtown Los Angeles.

Cal receiver Chad Hansen (ankle) will not play against USC. He leads the Pac-12 in receptions (59), receiving yards (770) and is second in touchdown receptions (8).

Virginia Tech survived a late push from Pittsburgh to stay in control of the ACC Coastal Division. The Hokies got an incredible performance from banged up quarterback Jerod Evans (sprained ankle) and their receiving trio Isaiah Ford, Bucky Hodges and Cam Phillips. They should be favored in their final three ACC games against Duke, Georgia Tech and Virginia. If they win them all, they make it to the ACC championship game.

Despite the fact that Cal is playing on a short week and USC is coming off a bye, Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott said the game falls under the agree-upon scheduling parameters. The Bears played a double-overtime game against Oregon on Friday, which gave them five days in between games. That USC is coming off a bye was not taken into account.

Pitt stays in it with Weah touchdown

Nathan Peterman completes a 7-yard pass to Jester Weah in the end zone for a TD. Pittsburgh cuts Virginia Tech's lead to 39-36 with less than three minutes to play.

Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott said he's monitoring stadium developments in Inglewood, Las Vegas and Oakland as possible future destinations for the Pac-12 Championship Game.

Ford's catch breaks Virginia Tech record

Isaiah Ford makes history with a school-record 23rd receiving touchdown. The catch increased the Hokies' lead over Pitt to 39-29 in the fourth quarter.

Andrea Adelson ESPN Staff Writer

Virginia Tech started taking advantage of an overmatched Pitt secondary in the second half, launching one pass after another to successful results. Jerod Evans is over 400 yards passing; and for the first time in school history, the Hokies have three 100-yard receivers in the same game. Plus, Isaiah Ford set the new school record for receiving touchdowns with 23.
