It isn't too early to say Miami is officially in trouble against Virginia. The Cavaliers opened a two-touchdown lead thanks to a blocked punt they converted into Kurt Benkert's fourth touchdown pass of the game.

Wisconsin needs to find a way to get star tailback Jonathan Taylor more involved in the second half. Aside from one good series late in the second quarter, Michigan hasn't given the freshman much breathing room.

First time an OFFENSIVE player got the #turnoverchain for Miami. Travis Homer likes it!

Virginia has done an excellent job taking advantage of the biggest weakness on the Miami defense: its secondary. By rolling Kurt Benkert out and getting quick passes off, the Cavaliers have 262 yards passing and Benkert is 17-of-18.

Andrea Adelson ESPN Staff Writer

Kurt Benkert is the single biggest reason Virginia has given Miami fits. His 33-yard touchdown pass to Andre Levrone was placed perfectly in the corner of the end zone. Benkert only has one incompletion so far.

An excellent response by Brandon Peters and Michigan to the TD that wasn't and the red zone fumble, as the Wolverines drive 84 yards in seven plays with a nice mix of play designs. There's not much available in the run game, but Peters has settled down nicely.

Clemson was clearly hoping to work out some kinks in the passing game. Midway through the second quarter, the Tigers are up 31-0 and Kelly Bryant has thrown 22 passes -- connecting with 10 different receivers.

Miami's offense can thank running back Travis Homer for that touchdown even though he didn't score it. Homer recovered a fumble on special teams, put on the Turnover Chain, and then watched as Malik Rosier threw a 36-yard touchdown pass to Dayall Harris.

Dan Murphy ESPN Staff Writer

What a big turn for the Badgers. Michigan's Donovan Peoples-Jones came within an inch of hauling in a touchdown pass, but Wolverines fumble on the next play and come up empty. Those points could be a difference-maker in a defensive battle.

For those who wondered how many would show up for Virginia-Miami after two big games, here's the crowd from my view in the press box.

Entering Week 12, Oklahoma State is the only Power 5 team with a 3000 YD passer (Mason Rudolph), 1000 YD rusher (Justice Hill) and 1000 YD receiver (James Washington).

David M. Hale ESPN Staff Writer

Florida State is up 28-6 on Delaware State, 2 minutes into the second quarter. The Seminoles have not topped 28 points in a game this season.

Andrea Adelson ESPN Staff Writer

Ahmmon Richards is off to a big start for Miami, and that can only mean good news for the Hurricanes. Richards has been hobbled for most of the season with a hamstring injury but has made some important catches early against Virginia, including the Canes' first TD of the game.

Dan Murphy ESPN Staff Writer

Michigan used its third timeout with more than two minutes to go in the first quarter while struggling to get off a play in the Wildcat formation. That No. 1-rated Badger defense is confusing the young Wolverines before the snap.

Andrea Adelson ESPN Staff Writer

Miami's defense set the tone the last two weeks in big wins over Virginia Tech and Notre Dame, but the Canes simply have no answers for Virginia quarterback Kurt Benkert, who has started the game 10-for-10 with two touchdown passes.

Jake Trotter ESPN Staff Writer

West Virginia QB Will Grier was just taken to the locker room with an injury to his hand/finger.

David M. Hale ESPN Staff Writer

Clemson QB Kelly Bryant had connected on just 1 of his last 23 throws of 15 yards or more downfield, but on a third-and-20, he hit Deon Cain 50 yards downfield for a 53-yard TD pass. Clemson up 7-0.

Andrea Adelson ESPN Staff Writer

This certainly isn't the start Miami envisioned against Virginia -- the Hurricanes allowed an opening TD, and Malik Rosier just threw an interception off a tipped pass. A week ago, Miami had zero turnovers against Notre Dame.

Dan Murphy ESPN Staff Writer

Michigan's offense has shown some creativity early in Madison -- Wildcat formations, jet sweeps, double fullbacks -- and given the Wolverines' an early field position edge in the first quarter.

Andrea Adelson ESPN Staff Writer

Miami isn't playing a nationally ranked opponent in prime time, but Virginia isn't a pushover. The Cavaliers are vastly improved, have reached bowl eligibility -- and a history with upset wins over the Canes.

Andrea Adelson ESPN Staff Writer

Virginia put together a perfect opening drive, mixing the run and pass and some rollouts from quarterback Kurt Benkert to march down the field and take an opening lead on No. 3 Miami. Benkert completed all five of his passes on the drive.

Clemson kicks off its final home game of the year against The Citadel at 12:20. Barring an upset of historic proportions, the Tigers' seniors will wrap up their careers with a 27-1 record in Death Valley.
