Virginia Tech intercepted Deshaun Watson early in the third quarter, down 21-14 with momentum. But the Hokies failed to take advantage of the turnover and Clemson made them pay, with consecutive scoring drives to blow the game open 35-14 late in the third quarter. So far in the third quarter, Virginia Tech has minus-14 yards.

Wisconsin had allowed one touchdown on passes thrown 25 yards or more downfield coming into tonight's Big Ten championship game. The Badgers have allowed two to Penn State.

Penn State has erased a 21-point deficit to tie Wisconsin 28-28. The Badgers had not given up more than 23 points in regulation all season but have been flustered by the Nittany Lions' big-play offense. Penn State has averaged 9.4 yards per play on its last three drives, all resulting in touchdowns.
