Wake Forest coach Dave Clawson was asked whether it was a coincidence that his offense started scoring more after it was learned the team's game plan was leaked last season in what ended up becoming known as "WakeyLeaks." "I don't think we'll ever know," Clawson said. "Did it happen 36 times or did it happen 6 times? I'm glad we're playing better now. I think we're executing better. That has a lot to do with it. But if people don't have our game plans that helps as well."

Fun part of prepping for a game each week is finding under-the-radar players that stand out on tape. This week: TCU DE Ben Banogu.

Virginia Tech coach Justin Fuente said starting cornerback Adonis Alexander remains suspended against Old Dominion. In announcing his suspension last week, Fuente said Alexander was suspended because "Adonis has not lived up to our expectations."

North Carolina and Duke play on Saturday, the earliest meeting between the schools in the history of the 104-year rivalry. "I've had a lot of people that have said, 'Golly, why are we playing so early?'" North Carolina coach Larry Fedora said. "I don't really know why. I think going forward, you're going to see more games like this early in the year to help with the TV package."

When told LSU running back Derrius Guice was questionable for Saturday's game, Syracuse coach Dino Babers said, "If he's not going to play, they probably have a 5-star or 4-star that we haven't seen on tape that would make our job more difficult because we haven't seen him."

Syracuse coach Dino Babers is always good for a great quote. It just happened again on the ACC coaches call when asked about what he expects to see from LSU's offense Saturday. About the receivers he said they "look like trees and run like deer."

Louisville coach Bobby Petrino said the Clemson defense "overpowered us a little bit." I asked Petrino if this Clemson defense was better than the one his team played last year, and he said it wasn't up to him to compare. "I thought they do a good job with what they do with tier movements, what they do with their linebackers. They play really well together."

Louisville coach Bobby Petrino said this was message to his team after a tough loss to Clemson: "It's a long season. We have a lot of games ahead of us. We have to get back and work hard on the practice field, come out and execute. It's just one game. It's not the last time the guys on our team are going to have defeats in life. You have to come back from them and be more determined."

LSU coach Ed Orgeron said star running back Derrius Guice is "very questionable" for the Tigers' game vs. Syracuse on Saturday. Guice did not practice on Tuesday, Orgeron said. He left the Tigers' 37-7 loss to Mississippi State last week with what Orgeron called on Monday a "minor injury."

Florida State hasn't played a game in 21 days and coach Jimbo Fisher said there are concerns about rust and how his team will play. "You're worried about all that," Fisher said. "Nobody's been through this. They've never been 21 days without playing before."

Andrea Adelson ESPN Staff Writer

Florida State's offensive line faces another difficult challenge against one if the better defensive lines it will face in NC State. Fisher said his offensive line played a solid game against Alabama. "The experience really helps," Fisher said. "I'm looking forward to them playing well."

Here's a quick glimpse at Miami going through pre-practice stretch.

Miami coach Mark Richt says receiver Ahmmon Richards has looked cautious in his return to practice from a hamstring injury and is questionable for Saturday's game against Toledo. "We're all being cautious but on the other hand, somewhere along the line you've got to let it go," Richt said. "Hamstrings are the ones you just have to be careful with."
