UCLA announced it will play a home-and-home series with UNLV in 2024 and 2025. The first game will be at the Rose Bowl with a return trip to Las Vegas, where a new NFL stadium is scheduled to open prior to the 2020 season.

Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin on his team's handling of the speculation surrounding his future: "We'll deal with it the way we've dealt with everything this year. We'll continue to do business as usual....Dealing with adversity, that's what life is about. For our players, it's another learning experience and how they respond and how they react is one thing. How you perform is another. That is part of the learning experience that you try to teach young adults and that's how we've handled it."

Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin, responding to a report from the Houston Chronicle that he will be fired after the Aggies' game against LSU, said "I haven't talked to [athletic director] Scott [Woodward] since Saturday after the game." Asked of his reaction, he said "It's not like we haven't dealt with this since the spring. I think our team has done a really, really nice job of focusing on games at hand. And we'll continue to do that. "

Former Oregon coach Mike Bellotti to on Chip Kelly's decision: "If he has a choice between UCLA and Florida, I think he would take Florida. They're both good jobs, but UCLA has fired every coach since Terry Donahue. People think he's got the success on the West Coast, but the reality is he's an East Coast guy. ... UCLA is a very good job. I'm not sure I could say it's a great job."
