J.T. Rogan has a unique perspective on Jim Harbaugh because Rogan played running back for Harbaugh at San Diego, coached with him at Stanford and now works for him at Michigan. Rogan said there are similarities and differences between coach Jim Harbaugh and boss Jim Harbaugh. The main difference is that Harbaugh has an open door policy for his players and Rogan needs to go to Harbaugh with solutions instead of problems.

Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly on what he sees from Michigan State so far: "Extremely disciplined, hard-nosed, play to the echo of the whistle. Just resembles a lot more of the teams that I had seen '10, '11, '12, '13. Those were supremely talented teams the last few years. This team reminds me of some of [Mark Dantonio's] earlier teams."
