Virginia Tech's Jerod Evans is the only QB in the country w/13+ touchdown passes and no more than one interception. In the last decade, only 12 other QBs have done that in the first 4 games of a season. That list includes 2 Heisman winners, 3 first round draft picks, 7 QBs who have started in the NFL and 9 who have played in the NFL (while one, Kenny Hill, is still playing college ball).

Ed Werder @Edwerderespn

What a play by TE Jordan Reed to catch ball, get knocked backward and keep balance and gain the first down

Bill Barnwell @billbarnwell

Jordan Reed with a ridiculous one-handed catch and then he makes three Giants defenders miss for a first down.

KC Joyner @KCJoynerTFS

Eddie Lacy & C.J. Anderson have combined for six points so far today. A.J. Green with 3 points. Their fantasy owners are frustrated.

Brian Kelly on if a turnaround for 1-3 Notre Dame must be player-led or coach-led: "It starts with the coaches. It's got to be coach-led and they've got to start the fire, and then those players that have that intrinsic motivation, that fire within, they will come along with us. Those that don't, we're going to leave them along the side. But this is going to start with the coaches."

Brian Kelly on the contrast between his previous public stance with Brian VanGorder all season and the eventual firing: "That's not the appropriate time to get into talking about your coaches and where do you feel they fit on that continuum of how well they're doing. I'm going to defend them in those public settings. As I got a chance to further evaluate our football team and our current situation I felt that it was in our best interest to make the move that I did."

Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly of the dynamic of fired defensive coordinator Brian VanGorder having a son still on the team at QB (Montgomery VanGorder): "We deal with it professionally like any family would. I talked to Montgomery, we did that right away, anytime there's difficult times you deal with them man-to-man and do it upfront within the family and you move on."

Arkansas and Texas A&M are long gone from AT&T Stadium following their game Saturday night but the grounds crew is hard at work in the wee hours changing the field for the NFL game Sunday night in this very stadium as the Dallas Cowboys host the Chicago Bears.

ESPN Stats and Information

Arizona State rallied to score 31 points in the fourth quarter and beat California on Saturday night. It's only the second time in the last five years that an FBS team scored at least 30 points in the fourth quarter to come from behind and win, and both such games came against Cal (also Arizona in 2014).
