ESPN Stats and Information

With 33 points against Florida, Malik Monk has reached the 20-point mark 16 times -- or in 55 percent of his games at Kentucky. That's the highest percentage of games scoring 20 points by any Kentucky player in eight seasons under John Calipari (minimum 12 20-point games). Closest to Monk is Jamal Murray, who scored 20 points in 50 percent of his games with the Wildcats (18 games).

You'll be told that "by rule" TCU's Jaylen Fisher committed foul. MAYBE. But, we know that wouldn't be called foul in every arena. FACT.

Malik Monk has 27 of Kentucky's 64 points, 24 of which have come in the first 14 minutes of the second half. He's cooking. Without him (freshman point DeAaron Fox is out with an injury) it's easy to imagine Florida way ahead at this point in the game.

Malik Monk's ability to go from lost and adrift to incredible within the same game is downright Russ Smith-like.

Villanova's 3-point shooting woes continue. Wildcats were 6 of 24 in loss to Butler and just 2 of 11 this half. Creighton, meantime, is 7 of 15. Could very well be tired legs but game tied at 3: at half and Villanova.

Villanova, only 2 of 9 from arc, has wisely started to take it to the rim and getting results. Drives by Bridges, Hart, Jenkins and Paschall on last four possessions. Cats up 10 now.

Duke's Grayson Allen hasn't been the same since tweaking his ankle against Clemson on Feb. 11. He no longer drives to the basket because of it. He's taken 27 3-pointers the last 4 games, compared to just 12 FG attempts inside the arc. Appears Mike Krzyzewski sitting him down to have him healthier for postseason.

Trying to give his starters a breather here a bit, Jay Wright just went with a lineup of Brunson, DiVencenzo, Painter, Paschall and Bridges. And went zone.

Jeff Goodman ESPN Insider

Grayson Allen sitting out today against Miami due to an ankle injury, Duke spokesman told ESPN.

Will be interesting to see how Villanova handles Justin Patton without Darryl Reynolds.
