Hayward on pace for a full max contract (1:12)

Brian Windhorst ESPN Senior Writer

Jazz star Gordon Hayward is in different situation than Paul George, though they have the same result with today's All-NBA vote. If Hayward had made a team he couldn't have signed a 5-year, $200 million extension with the Jazz unless he opted into his contract for next season at $16.7 million. That might've meant he would've had to leave $14 million on the table for next season, a difficult choice. Now it's moot and Hayward will almost certainly become an unrestricted free agent.
