Hayward out Monday due to quad contusion

Utah Jazz All-Star forward Gordon Hayward is out Monday against the New Orleans Pelicans because of a left quad contusion, one day after the Jazz clinched a postseason berth.

Gobert: Some Jazz players 'don't compete'

Rudy Gobert questioned some of his Jazz teammates' level of competitiveness, saying the team needs to be "making winning plays, before thinking about how many points we're going to score."

Jazz All-Star SF Gordon Hayward was not available to the media after the loss to the Clippers. A team spokesman said that's standard procedure for a player who exits a game due to injury, although coach Quin Snyder said he thinks Hayward is "fine" after bruising his left leg.
