Joel Embiid on getting into it with Carmelo Anthony: "He just said something like 'Don't do this with me' or something like that. I'm like, 'dude, you're not going to do anything.' ... Guys in the league, I mean, I can't remember the last time someone actually threw a punch at somebody, so I'm not worried about anybody. I've seen that a lot all over the place, about people talking about people coming back at me; I'm African, so don't try me."

Ben Simmons agreed with head coach Brett Brown that the second overtime decision to not allow the Sixers to advance the ball "huge impact" on their tactical approach to end that period.

In the wildest game of the NBA season so far, the Thunder held off the 76ers in triple-overtime, 119-117. It was a long road getting to a final score, with it starting with the Thunder not scoring a point in the final 5:23 of regulation to blow a nine-point lead, then coming back from five down with a minute left in the first overtime, then Andre Roberson missed a point blank layup, but came back and finished his do-over at the end of the third overtime. Westbrook was terrific and terrible all at once, with a triple-double that included 23 missed shots. In the end, OKC gets back to .500 and wins their sixth out eight.

Brett Brown says team was given two different explanations by referees on that end of second overtime finish. Said team was originally told they could advance the ball.
