Westbrook vows Rubio won't repeat stellar game

Ricky Rubio had Utah's first postseason triple-double since 2001 in the Jazz's Game 3 win over the Thunder on Saturday night. It's an achievement that Russell Westbrook said won't happen again.

Russell Westbrook was seen getting some treatment in his upper body in the second half and was asked if he's dealing with any kind of injury: "A lot of s--- going on with my body, but that's everybody right now."

Rubio's triple-double leads Jazz past Thunder 115-102

Ricky Rubio had 26 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists for Utah's first playoff triple-double in 17 years, and Donovan Mitchell added 22 points to lead the Jazz to a 115-102 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday night and a 2-1 lead in their...

Paul George has come out very assertive in the fourth. And he needs to be. With Westbrook struggling, it's going to be up to George to carry OKC's scoring.

The Thunder are in a lot of trouble, down 14 heading to the fourth. Russell Westbrook has just not been able to solve Utah's defensive scheme, and without Paul George stepping up to take over the primary scoring duties, OKC's defense finally wilted in that quarter. The only road back for the Thunder in this one is going to be some hot outside shooting.

With Russell Westbrook not playing well, and Paul George not making up for it, the Thunder have kind of been hanging on by a thread in this third quarter. And as the Jazz keep churning good shots, it's starting to get away from OKC.

Game 3 follows the trends of the series, with both teams exchanging runs in the first half. The Thunder went up 12, and appeared to have a good grip on things, and then Ricky Rubio erupted. The Jazz closed the half on a 20-6 run with Rubio at the middle of all of it. The Thunder looked a bit rattled too as the Jazz built momentum.

The Jazz were pretty out of sync, and then Ricky Rubio exploded. He's taken over this first half, hitting pull-up jumpers and outplaying Russell Westbrook, by a good amount.

The Thunder finish the first quarter on an 18-2 run, and did it with Russell Westbrook playing pretty weird, and not particularly good. Big adjustment by Billy Donovan to create some extra space going to Patrick Patterson for Steven Adams early sparked the offense.

Billy Donovan made an early sub going with Patrick Patterson in for Steven Adams, and it was clearly done to try and get Rudy Gobert out of the paint. And there was a rare Westbrook drive downhill to the rim with no contest.

There are few players in the league that love a rowdy road environment like Russell Westbrook. He's already prodding and chirping with courtside fans.

Paul George said his hip is improving but only classified it as "alright," and said it affects him more offensively than defensively.
