DeMarcus Cousins (right ankle sprain) is listed as questionable for tomorrow's home matchup against Dallas. Cousins has missed the past two games with the injury.

ESPN Stats and Information

With only two weeks remaining in the regular season, the NBA scoring race is a dead heat between Russell Westbrook and James Harden. Harden was last season's runner-up to Stephen Curry.

Jrue Holiday on the Pelicans' approach to the stretch run now five games back of the eighth seed with eight to play: "We're still fighting every game. I don't think we rolled over today. I guess I know I didn't. I try to play hard as I can every game. We had this goal to come 2-1 out of this road trip. Unfortunately we didn't. I think we fought today, and that's all you could ask for."

Back end of back-to-back in Utah is where the DeMarcus Cousins/talent void is felt most for New Orleans. Anthony Davis is doing things but everything's a slog. Grinding can only get you so far.

Hayward out Monday due to quad contusion

Utah Jazz All-Star forward Gordon Hayward is out Monday against the New Orleans Pelicans because of a left quad contusion, one day after the Jazz clinched a postseason berth.

Justin Verrier ESPN Staff Writer

Gordon Hayward (left quad contusion) and Derrick Favors (left knee contusion) both out tonight against the Pelicans. Joe Ingles and Boris Diaw will start in their places, per Jazz coach Quinn Snyder.

DeMarcus Cousins will sit out in Utah tonight with a right ankle sprain. Cousins' second straight absence because of the injury.

ESPN Stats and Information

Anthony Davis scored 31 points and secured 15 rebounds despite playing just 28 minutes and 23 seconds in Denver. Sunday's game marked the second time this season that Davis compiled at least 30 points and 15 rebounds in a game with less than 30 minutes played. Davis is the first NBA player since minutes were first tracked in the 1951–52 campaign to produce at least 30 points and 15 rebounds in a game while playing fewer than 30 minutes multiple times within a single season. Jrue Holiday on Pelicans being in the zone on defense: "For me, it just felt easy. ... Everything was clicking, everything was working out for us."

ESPN Stats and Information

Pelicans forward Anthony Davis had his 14th 30-point, 15-rebound game this season (most in the NBA). That's as many as Russell Westbrook, DeMarcus Cousins and Karl-Anthony Towns combined.

ESPN Stats and Information

Since the Pelicans traded for DeMarcus Cousins, they are 5-8 with him in the lineup, 3-0 without him.

Justin Verrier ESPN Staff Writer

With their playoff hopes on life support, the Pelicans, sans DeMarcus Cousins (right ankle sprain), dominate the Nuggets, the current eighth seed in the West, 115-90 in Denver. New Orleans is now four games back with nine to play and has a well-rested Anthony Davis (31 points, 15 rebounds in 28 minutes) for tomorrow night in Utah.
