And down go the Grizzlies, who lost their 17th straight game en route to being blown out by the Mavericks, 114-80, tonight in Dallas. The Grizzlies were playing in one of our grueling "red alert" games, as this marked their fifth game in eight days, their third game in four days and the second of a back-to-back set. They hosted the Utah Jazz last night, then headed out afterward for Dallas, where they faced a Mavericks squad that entered tonight's game with a huge three-day rest advantage. The Mavericks led 31-13 after the first quarter and cruised from there, earning their largest margin of victory this season. Our schedule alert formula has correctly predicted 36 of 46 games this season, including five of seven red alert games.
