Offseason grades: Dallas Mavericks

Dallas sat back while watching other teams in the West go crazy, and then got a steal in the draft in Dennis Smith.

There are several landing spots that make sense for guard Archie Goodwin, who was released by the Nets on Friday. Among them: Milwaukee, Dallas, the Clippers and Lakers. All four teams conceivably have space to add a young player like Goodwin. In 12 games with the Nets, Goodwin's third team, he averaged 8 points, 2.3 rebounds and two assists in 15 minutes per game. His contract was non-guaranteed for the coming season. Goodwin could now be claimed by a team. If not, the four-year veteran will be an unrestricted free agent.
