Brad Stevens reflecting on MLK Day: "He's one of the most admired leaders in the history of the world. Every year at this time, the thing I always do is to review and re-look at all of my favorite speeches and quotes of his. I mean, his impact on the country was as great as anybody's and continues to be as great as anybody's. It's always fun to take a step back and celebrate that today, not only as a coach, but then as a parent of an 8- and 12-year-old, too, to get a chance to talk about things that are a little more important than what we are doing for a living."

Tests on Celtics rookie Jayson Tatum's knee came back negative and Tatum said he expects to play on Tuesday night against the Pelicans. Tatum tweaked his knee in the third quarter of last week's game in London and there was some concern after it stiffened up on trip home. Said Tatum: " "It feels a lot better. I just tweaked it in the game in London, and the long plane ride it got a little stiff. We had a few days off … So [the Celtics] just told me to rest the other day at practice."

Kyrie Irving on including Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski in his latest Nike ad: "There's one person I gotta have in this [commercial] and that's Gronk. It makes the commercial that much better, just throwing Gronk in there. I love his interviews. ... Man, watching that dude do interviews is hilarious."

Celtics swingman Jaylen Brown said he believes one of the rims during Boston's game vs the 76ers in London was slightly off, echoing what JJ Redick suggested after the game. Brown said he told Boston coaches before the game but joked they did not listen to him. Brown said it was irrelevant because both teams spent equal time on that hoop.

Celtics are sending rookie Jayson Tatum for imaging on a knee he injured late in the third quarter in London. Tatum sat out of Boston's light practice on Saturday. Brad Stevens: "We don't know what's going on but it was stiff today so we wanted to make sure we held him out."
