Anthony Davis on rookie Buddy Hield's first official NBA practice: "He did good. There were times where Buddy did rookie mistakes. It happens. And as a leader, my job is to correct him, or if he's moving too fast tell him to slow down, show him what we're looking for in the offense or the defense. But he's a great listener. You tell him to do something, he might forget to do something else because he's trying to do what you told him to do. But that's always good. I'm happy that he's here. He's always willing to learn and work hard."

Last year's first round pick, Sam Dekker, who missed the majority of last season recovering from back surgery, said "best I've ever felt in my life." Don't know if an NBA superstar ever practiced harder or set tone better than KG. First in every drill and made "competing" a skill.

Phil Jackson didn't seem bothered by Bulls chairman Jerry Reinsdorf's assertion that Joakim Noah is no longer a top player. "I do see that he is getting (older), things are going to fall off a little bit for him but I don't think that is going to keep him from being a competitor," Jackson said.
