The NCAA rule giving underclassmen 6 more weeks to decide their NBA futures has worked out well. Much more informed decision-making.

Kyrie Irving made a fastbreak layup and immediately went down holding his ankle. However, after being checked out on the baseline, he got up to a standing ovation and stayed in the game.

Encapsulating his struggles in one play, LeBron James caught a perfect outlet pass from Kevin Love, went up for a huge one-handed slam -- and missed the dunk that would've given the Cavs the lead.

Celtics up 10 proves they don't need Isaiah OR Cavs staying w/in 10 proves they don't need LeBron. Which take is more 🔥🔥? Discuss....

Celtics weren't able to take advantage of LeBron James sitting out last 6:46 with four fouls. Lead stayed at 10 as Kyrie Irving got hot with 10 points in that span.

Kyrie Irving kept the Cavs afloat after LeBron James checked out with 4 fouls, scoring 12 of Cleveland's final 14 points of the half. But Boston still has the same 10-point lead it had when James left the game. The Cavaliers are 3-22 all-time in the postseason when trailing by at least 10 at halftime.

The Cavs were down 10 when LeBron James went to the bench. They briefly fell down by 16, they briefly cut the lead down to six and ultimately head into the half down by 10. Things could be worse, for sure.

One game after his seven 3-pointer outburst, Marcus Smart has missed all three shots he's taken in the first half but he's still a team-best plus-15. Smart doing an excellent job initiating the offense in Isaiah Thomas' absence.

Rare lineup here for the Cavs because LeBron James is saddled with four fouls: The starting group minus James and with Deron Williams instead.
