The guard cutting to the corner is one aspect of the triangle that Derrick Rose says he needs to get acclimated to: "As the point guard, that's tough sometimes going all the way to the corner and kind of waiting to see what they're going to do on the initial side of the triangle. You have to wait for the ball to come back to you."

Spurs come away with a 29-point win over the Warriors. According to Elias, only one team has ever lost a season opener by 20 or more points and then bounced back to win the NBA title. That was the St. Louis Hawks who were blown out by Bill Russell's Celtics on opening night in 1957 before then beating the Celtics later that year in the NBA Finals.
