Former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar will face surging Mexican contender Yair Rodriguez at UFC 211 on May 13 in Dallas.
Officials confirmed the 145-pound fight on Thursday. The UFC 211 pay-per-view event takes place at American Airlines Center.
Edgar (21-5-1) has also signed a contract extension with the UFC. The New Jersey native is coming off a unanimous decision win over Jeremy Stephens at UFC 205 in November.
The 35-year-old underwent surgery on a torn groin muscle in January. He has won six of his past seven fights, with the only loss coming in an interim title fight against Jose Aldo at UFC 200 last July.
Rodriguez (10-1) has stormed through the featherweight division since debuting with the UFC in 2014. He's 6-0 inside the Octagon, with two knockout wins. He's also headlined two events.
Originally from Chihuahua, Mexico, and now fighting out of Chicago, Rodriguez is coming off a second-round knockout of B.J. Penn in January.
A heavyweight title fight between Stipe Miocic (16-2) and Junior dos Santos (18-4) will headline UFC 211.
