Heredia undergoes shoulder surgery

Seattle Mariners OF Guillermo Heredia underwent surgery on his right shoulder in Miami on Monday, the club announced. Heredia is expected to be ready for spring training. The 26-year-old slashed .249/.315/.337 with six home runs and 24 RBIs in 123 games this season.

The Hank Aaron Award recognizes the most outstanding offensive performer in each league. Finalists for all 30 teams were revealed Monday.

Sunday's longest home runs

Mike Marjama's first MLB homer paced the league Sunday, one foot longer than Khris Davis' 43rd of the season. Pablo Sandoval, Marcell Ozuna and Nick Williams rounded out the list on the final day of the regular season.

King Felix owns Oakland

Monday's win over the Athletics brought Felix Hernandez's career record against them to 25-9. Since the majors expanded to 24 teams in 1969, only two other pitchers have won 25 games against one team before turning 32, which Hernandez will do in April: Dwight Gooden vs. the Cubs (27-4) and Mark Buehrle against the Twins (25-18).
