Tigers OF Martinez sprains foot making catch

Tigers outfielder J.D. Martinez was taken for X-rays, which came back negative, after spraining his right foot during a spring training game Saturday. He will be re-evaluated Sunday.

Here is what Team Venezuela manager Omar Vizquel just told me about whether Miguel Cabrera would be available tomorrow: "We don't know yet; we are still waiting to see. I hope he can play." If Puerto Rico defeats Team USA tonight, Venezuela (who plays PR tomorrow at 3:30pm ET) would be effectively eliminated from the WBC.
