The Detroit Tigers designated OF Tyler Collins for assignment Sunday and purchased the contract of OF Alex Presley from Triple-A Toledo. Collins, 26, has posted a .239/.303/.384 slash line with 13 homers and 56 RBIs in four seasons with the Tigers.

Angels 1B Albert Pujols, who's been battling a hamstring injury of late, is out of the starting lineup Sunday vs. the Marlins. Pujols has missed four of the team's last nine games.

Roster roulette continues for Red Sox, who call up reliever Blaine Boyer from Triple-A to take spot vacated when lefty Brian Johnson was optioned after throwing a five-hit shutout Saturday. Sox will have to make another move after Sunday's game to open spot for David Price, who starts Monday in Chicago.
