It got dicey in the ninth but the Cubs held on to beat the Giants 5-4 after Wade Davis gave up a 2-run HR in the ninth inning, his first earned runs given up this season. It took him 34 pitches to get through the inning as an insurance run in the eighth was the difference. Jason Heyward scored after tripling to open the inning.
