Mike Montgomery (home) and Rob Zastryzny (road) will start for the Cubs on Saturday in their split squad games. Jake Buchanan will start on Sunday with Brett Anderson going Monday.

Yankees reliever Dellin Betances, who had an intentional walk called-off by manager Joe Girardi in July of last year after he threw a ball that sailed over catcher Brian McCann's head and hit the backstop, told me this about implementing dugout signals for intentional walks: "I had an issue with that last year, where I overthrew the ball [vs. Brandon Crawford on July 23, 2016] and the other team could've scored. So it does make it easier in those terms. It avoids those situations, but it does take away a little drama."
