The Dodgers don't have to make the final call on their World Series roster until Tuesday morning but Dave Roberts says of Corey Seager, "Unless something really unforeseen happens, I just don't see how he's not on it." Good chance that Charlie Culberson will be in the roster as well, especially because Seager can DH when the series shifts to Houston.

Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw was asked about the varying depth of his slider and how that might be related to his back trouble. He said, "I don't know which analytics group you work for, but it's fine." The reporter in question was from fangraphs.com. Funny moment but not really an answer for an issue that seems legit — according to the analytics.

Quite a melee for the Dodgers' World Series Media Day session. I managed to get near Corey Seager who certainly talked like a guy about to play in a World Series. He stopped short of saying he's been officially named to L.A's Fall Classic roster. Dave Roberts will speak in about 15 minutes, so we hopefully will achieve closure at that point.
