Rosters were announced for the Brooklyn World Baseball Classic Qualifier and the team with the greatest Mets flavor is Team Israel. Among those on the team are former first baseman Ike Davis, former infielder Josh Satin and 2016 Met Ty Kelly. Davis is currently a free agent after a brief stint with the Yankees. Satin retired in June after time in Triple-A with the Padres. Team Israel plays its first game on Sep. 23 at MCU Park.

As expected, the Red Sox activated Steven Wright from the disabled list to start tonight against the Royals at Fenway Park. Wright will occupy the roster spot vacated after yesterday's game when reliever Heath Hembree was optioned to Triple-A. Wright missed three starts after jamming his right shoulder diving back into second base as a pinch-runner Aug. 7 at Dodger Stadium.
