Bucci Mane @Buccigross

The best part of the Harper/Strickland fight was Michael Morse and Jeff Samardzija running into each other like a Three Stooges episode.

Buster Olney @Buster_ESPN

If Hunter Strickland just threw at Bryce w/ SF down 2-0 today because of HRs hit 3 years ago in a yr. SF won WS, teammates won't be happy.

Bill Barnwell @billbarnwell

I really want to know whether Bryce Harper was trying to throw his helmet at Strickland and missed that badly

Well, so much for a quiet afternoon of Memorial Day baseball. Giants reliever Hunter Strickland drills Bryce Harper in the hip -- clearly on purpose and probably because Harper hit two home runs off him in the 2014 playoffs. Harper charged, the two exchanged punches -- both nailing each other in the face -- and we're going to get some suspensions. Mostly, however, it was a gutless, bush-league pitch from Strickland.

ESPN Stats and Information

Indians DH Edwin Encarnacion crushed his 10th home run of the year on Monday vs. the Athletics. The solo shot was his longest homer since a 469-footer last July.

ESPN Stats and Information

Astros SS Carlos Correa crushed his eighth home run of the year during Monday's 16-8 win vs. the Twins. The solo shot opened the scoring and was his longest homer since a 448-footer last September.

ESPN Stats and Information

Twins 3B Miguel Sano launched a two-run homer during Monday's 16-8 loss vs. the Astros. The 420-foot shot to center was his 12th long ball of the season.

Dustin Pedroia will return to Boston for an MRI and other tests on his sprained left wrist, according to Red Sox manager John Farrell. He was dealing with swelling after leaving the game.

Wow, what an eighth inning for the Astros against the Twins. Trailing 8-2, they scored 11 runs, tied for second-most in an inning in franchise history. They had eight hits, two walks and a hit by pitch, with Carlos Beltran finishing off the rally with a three-run homer. The Twins did not use their closer. I guess Brandon Kintzler will be rested for Tuesday.

Nine up and down for Kyle Hendricks who has struck out 5 so far through 3 innings.

ESPN Stats and Information

Dodgers LF/1B Cody Bellinger launched another one out of the park during Monday's 5-1 win vs. the Cardinals. The solo shot to right field was tied for his longest homer of the season. The rookie also hit a 432-footer on May 5 vs. the Padres at PETCO Park.

ESPN Stats and Information

Yankees RF Aaron Judge reclaimed the MLB lead in homers with his 17th long ball during Monday's 3-2 loss to the Orioles. The solo shot was his fifth home run against Baltimore this season, the most vs. any team.

White Sox 5, Red Sox 4: David Price's debut went about as well as the Red Sox could have hoped. If only reliever Matt Barnes had held a lead for him. Price dealt with control issues but gave up little more than a three-run homer to Melky Cabrera in an 88-pitch, five-inning performance. But the White Sox scored twice against Barnes in the seventh inning to win the opener of the three-game series.

David Schoenfield ESPN Senior Writer

Big week for the Orioles as they had lost 13 of 16 and seven in a row entering Monday's game, with seven games against the Yankees and Red Sox. So a good start with a 3-2 win as Dylan Bundy tossed seven solid innings. Three double plays helped, as did an outfield assist.

Jesse Rogers ESPN Staff Writer

Anthony Rizzo was hit by a pitch for a league leading 11th time this season as Jarred Cosart of the Padres got him in the first inning. No one else in baseball has been hit more than 8 times. Rizzo was hit 16 times all of last season.

ESPN Staff

Twins CF Byron Buxton left Monday's game vs. the Astros with a lacerated ring finger on his right hand. He appeared to have suffered the injury diving for a ball in the outfield.
