Yankees outfielder Brett Gardner says he was out of the lineup today due to some soreness he was feeling in his right knee. Says it isn't one specific time in which he hurt himself; more of an "over time" issue. MRI today revealed some inflammation, but nothing too serious. Hopes to play Monday.

One of my favorite quotes about Old-Timers' Day came from Aaron Boone: "It's funny watching guys in the cage and I could see them like ... that's Willie Randolph — in slow motion. You know, their old swings. Sorry, Willie. But I said that about everybody. Lee Mazzilli. Yeah, that's Lee. That's Lee's swing right there — in slow motion. So that's kind of neat to see. I know I got in there in slow motion, too."

Yankees manager Aaron Boone can still swing it. Right after this video ended, he hit a fly toward the left-field foul pole ... it landed a couple feet shy of the wall.

Jason Giambi, making his Old-Timers' Day debut at Yankee Stadium today, just hit a second-deck homer to right as the former Yankees take batting practice.

Hey, dads, Happy Father's Day! How about we watch some former Yankees play today? It's Old-Timers' Day.
