There might not be one great team this season, but teams such as Oklahoma, Purdue and West Virginia have been pleasant surprises. Now we have to wait and see if they can really challenge for a national title.

Purdue's living up to its No. 3 ranking and rolling over Wisconsin 39-22 at the half in West Lafayette. Carsen Edwards has led the Boilermakers with 14 points on 6-of-11 shooting. Whether it's the Boilers, Ohio State or Michigan State, the highest NCAA tournament seed from the Big Ten could be a very tough out in March.

More on Purdue, the new favorite (19%) to win the NCAA tournament: the Boilermakers' BPI rating improved after dominating Minnesota yesterday and is now just shy of Villanova's rating. Purdue is also the favorite (53%) to earn the top overall seed in the NCAA tournament.
