Mitch Sherman ESPN Staff Writer

Kansas' 30th win of the season, 80-76 over Clemson in the first Midwest Region semifinal, moves the Jayhawks into their third straight Elite Eight on Sunday against Duke or Syracuse. Top-seeded KU never trailed, winning behind a balanced attack with 17 points from Malik Newman, 16 from Devonte' Graham and 14 from Udoka Azubuike. The Tigers cut the KU lead -- which reached 20 points early in the second half -- to six in the last three minutes and to four in the closing seconds. Gabe Devoe scored 31 for Clemson.

Jake Trotter ESPN Staff Writer

Kansas is firmly in control in Omaha, behind a dominating effort inside. The Jayhawks already have 26 points in the paint -- 14 more than Clemson. Center Udoka Azubuike, still working his way back from a knee injury, has given the Jayhawks 10 points in a solid 13 minutes. But it was Lagerald Vick's one-handed, follow -up jam that spurred a Kansas run late in the first half.
