All hail Tyler Dorsey. It doesn't get much better than shooting 9-of-10 from the field and scoring 27 points in a game where your team needed every bit of offense you supplied. The Oregon sophomore hit a deep 3 with 38 seconds remaining to give the Ducks their three-point win over Rhode Island.

Fantastic game between Oregon and Rhode Island, as Tyler Dorsey saves the Ducks' season with a game-winning three-pointer with 38 seconds left. Rhode Island gave its best shot but watched a 10-point halftime lead and a four-point edge in the final two minutes both evaporate.

You had to figure an Oregon run was coming, and Tyler Dorsey has helped get the Ducks back into the game. Dorsey has been on fire since the postseason began and now has five straight games of 20 or more points. But Oregon's issue remains on the defensive end. It will need to get some stops against Rhode Island to avoid this upset.

Mid majors have been hurt in recent years by players transferring to bigger programs. It's working in reverse for Rhode Island, as former Indiana transfer Stanford Robinson has gone nuts off the bench with 17 points and 8-of-9 shooting. Robinson had only scored more than 13 points once all season.

Rhode Island is known for its stifling defense. But it's the Rams offense that has made the difference so far against Oregon. The team is shooting 58 percent for the game and has hit seven of its last 13 three-point tries. That's the formula for a potential big upset here.

Rhode Island's players ran off the court for halftime celebrating like they had just won the game. They made nine of their final 10 shots of the half to take a 46-38 lead over Oregon. The Rams did it despite getting only three minutes from Hassan Martin, who picked up two quick fouls. They got huge lifts off the bench from Stanford Robinson and Cyril Langevine, who combined for 22 points and 10-of-11 shooting. Their defense also hounded the Ducks into 10 first-half turnovers.

Oregon's Dillon Brooks just drew a technical for taunting. Earlier in the game, the Ducks' Dylan Ennis was warned for talking smack to the Rhode Island bench. Time for Oregon to stop quacking and just play.

Big development for Rhode Island, as Hassan Martin picks up his second foul just seven minutes into the game. The Rams will now have to survive against Oregon without the two-time Atlantic 10 defensive player of the year.

As it did against Creighton, Rhode Island's physical, in-your-face defense is causing early consternation for Oregon, which has missed six of its first eight shots. The Ducks' answer so far has been to push the pace after defensive rebounds for transition opportunities. With Rhode Island missing seven of its first 10 attempts and all five of its three-point tries, those opportunities have been there.

Getting close to tipoff in Sacramento between Oregon and Rhode Island, whose campuses are a mere 3,000 miles apart. Their styles are distant from one another as well. The Ducks have a top 20 offense, according to KenPom.com, while the Rams boast a top 30 defense.

ESPN Stats and Information

URI was one of a group of 11-seeds to pull off upsets in round one. However, the Rams face a bigger challenge in round two against the 3rd-seeded Oregon Ducks, who are 79 percent favorite per ESPN's BPI.

No. 11 seed Rhode Island is the only true underdog left in Sacramento, but the players appear to be really loose heading into Sunday's game against Oregon. E.C. Matthews strode into the locker room singing Kanye West's "Champion" today and clowned around with best friend Hassan Martin during interviews. "We feel like we're one of the toughest teams out there," Martin said.
