UW releases top prospect; father to Missouri

Michael Porter Jr. has reopened his recruitment as Washington released him from his letter of intent. His dad, meanwhile, has taken a job with the Missouri men's team.

Andy Katz ESPN Senior Writer

Trend is brewing now with major coaching hires: younger or coaches with less than five years of head coaching experience. Not saying it's right or wrong but it is the trend: LSU, Washington, NC State, Illinois. Outliers are Counzo Martin to Missouri and Brian Gregory to South Florida, so far. Will be interesting to see how Cal, Oklahoma State and UMass handle. Can't see Indiana going in this direction.
