Marc Leishman won just once in his first 206 career PGA Tour starts. At the CJ Cup @ Nine Bridges on Sunday, he had a chance to win for the third time in his last 19 starts, only to lose in a wild playoff. After pushing his tee shot way right and needing a ruling on the first playoff hole against Justin Thomas, the Australian saved par to advance to a second extra hole. He then found the hazard with his second shot into the par-5 18th, managing only to post bogey for a solo second-place finish. This was the second time he's directly lost to Thomas in as many months; they were tied at the Dell Technologies Championship through 54 holes, but Leishman came up short then, as well.
