Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield, after a strong week of practices in which he was praised for taking command of the huddle, has decided to play in the Senior Bowl, sources told ESPN.

Some good news for Washington State as the NCAA has granted standout linebacker Peyton Pelluer a sixth year of eligibility. Pelluer sustained a foot injury in the third game of the 2017 season. He finished fourth in the Pac-12 with 93 tackles in 2016. Linebacker depth should be a strength for the Cougars this fall.

Hilinski died of an apparent suicide earlier this month, and Falk wants to both honor him and bring attention to his story since he said there is often a stigma for men and football players struggling with similar issues.

Police said Tuesday that Washington State quarterback Tyler Hilinski killed himself with a former teammate's .223 caliber rifle, which was taken without the teammate's knowledge.

Washington State quarterback Tyler Hilinski's death has officially been ruled a suicide by the Whitman County Coroner's office. Hilinski was found dead Tuesday afternoon with a rifle and a handwritten suicide note beside him, police said.

The Whitman County (Wash.) Coroner's office has officially ruled Tyler Hilinski's death a suicide, it announced Thursday. Hilinski, a quarterback for Washington State, was found dead Tuesday afternoon. The official cause of death is a gunshot wound to the head, the coroner's office confirmed. He was 21.

Visited with Nebraska AD Bill Moos in Indianapolis ahead of the DI autonomy discussion forum. Moos, formerly of Washington State, said he was stunned and saddened by the news of Tyler Hilinski's death this week. Moos said he knew Hilinski well and that he came from a great family in California.
