Penn State continued its strong recruiting efforts in the 2018 class by landing ESPN 300 defensive lineman PJ Mustipher on Monday. Mustipher is the No. 190 ranked prospect overall and the brother of Notre Dame football player, Sam Mustipher. This commitment gives Penn State 13 ESPN 300 commitments, which is tied with Texas and Miami for second most in the country, behind Ohio State.

ESPN 300 offensive lineman Fredrick "Juice" Scruggs has committed to Penn State. Scruggs is the No. 99 ranked prospect overall, giving the Nittany Lions 12 ESPN 300 commits in the 2018 class. That is the most ESPN 300 commitments the program has had in one class since the ESPN 300 was started in 2011.
