Oklahoma's third-ranked recruiting class took a major hit Thursday night, losing top commit Jalen Reagor. Reagor, the No. 49 player in the country and the sixth-ranked receiver, announced he was switching his pledge to Big 12 rival TCU. Reagor's change of heart was somewhat expected, but after he took an official visit to OU for the Sooners's game against Ohio State, he said he was "100 percent committed." However, the Horned Frogs never gave up in their pursuit and was able to get him to flip.

Hokies get interception off tipped pass

A pass by Miami's Brad Kaaya is intercepted by linebacker Terrell Edmunds at Virginia Tech's 38-yard line early in the second quarter.

Receiver moves Miami into FG range

David Njoku picks up the first down with a hurdle over a defender for a 12-yard gain. He later caught a 48-yard pass that also helped lead to Michael Badgley's 29-yard field goal to tie Virginia Tech 3-3 late in the first quarter.

At the end of one quarter, Miami and Virginia Tech have traded field goals in a 3-3 tie. A deep ball from Brad Kaaya to David Njoku provided the bulk of the Hurricanes' offense, and Miami's ground game has mustered just 2.6 yards per carry so far.

Asked whether Leonard Fournette will start Saturday against Ole Miss, LSU coach Ed Orgeron chuckled and said, "He's the first off the bus my man." Fournette has not played since LSU's loss to Auburn on Sept. 24. Orgeron has said the Tigers will rotate running backs Fournette and Derrius Guice, who is averaging 9.1 ypc, against the Rebels on Saturday (9 p.m. ET, ESPN).

One area to watch for the Miami offense against Virginia Tech is explosive pass plays. The Hurricanes have struggled in this category. Brad Kaaya has 21 pass plays that have gone 20 yards or more, ninth in the ACC. Last year, he had 55 pass plays that went 20 or more yards, second in the ACC to Deshaun Watson. The Hokies struggled to contain big pass plays in a loss to Syracuse last week, so perhaps Miami will try to take a few shots downfield to open up the game.

If Ohio State wins at Penn State on Saturday, it will be the Buckeyes' 18th straight road victory in Big Ten play. That would be a league record, which Ohio State currently shares with Michigan, which won 17 in a row between 1988-1992.
